Add/Mod Categories
|

Please familiarize yourself with
the Panel's functions is the most important part of the E-Commerce wizard.
This is the most important part because all other sections revolve around
the Category Structure. There are three parts at the Add/Mod section:

Category Columns
|
|
This panel
shows an overview of all categories and sub-categories in your online
store. There is Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 with the
first Level representing one category and the subsequent levels as its
corresponding sub-categories.

This display will
show levels that have already been created only. In this example Level
1 contains one category, Telephone.
To its right, Level 2 shows two sub categories, Answering
Machine and Cordless
Telephones. And Level 3 contains Digital
and Cordless
sub-sub categories.
It is important
to understand that a Level category shown to the right of another Level
category does not necessarily make both directly related. For example,
following the hierarchical organization of telephones as shown above we have:
Level 2 Answering
Machine and Cordless
Telephones are directly related to Level
1 Telephones;
however, Level 3 Digital
and Cordless
are NOT directly related to Level 2 Cordless
Telephones (they are related directly
to Level 2 Answering
Machine only).

Category Add
|
|
Use
this tool to create all categories and levels discussed above. To make
this process simple, remember to work strictly with one category first
(entering its corresponding sub categories), before moving onto another
category. In this example we have the category Telephones;
once finished, add other categories like Radios,
Televisions,
etc.

Category Level:
Select your category
level (1-3)
2.
Category Name: Enter the general category
name of your product group
3.
Image URL: Enter the Image path to a
picture representative of the category
4.
Description: Enter a quick description of
what the category covers
5.
Click on the Submit button and proceed

Category Modify
|
|
Use
this tool to edit all categories and levels created above. Clicking on Delete
or Modify
at any category (Cat1, 2 or 3) has the same effect:
1.
Cat (Category):
Select your category from
the pull down menu
2.
Delete:
Click
to remove the category completely
3.
Modify: Click to make changes (See the
image below.)
Clicking the
Modify Button permits making changes to the category selected.
